Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodríguez on Sunday said the meetings held in the Dominican Republic and the United States meant “an important moment for Venezuela’s foreign policy.”

“There is no country better or worse than another. We are all equal and form part of the international community,” Rodríguez stressed.

During an interview with TV show “José Vicente Hoy,” aired on private TV channel Televen, Rodríguez highlighted that Venezuela “recognizes no country or empire planning to give orders” to the Venezuelan people. “We are a free and sovereign nation,” the minister added.

Likewise, the official said that the issue of the US foreign policy vis-à-vis Venezuela is the fact that they fail to maintain respect. “We categorically deplore meddling,” she underscored.
