Officials of the Venezuelan National Civil Aeronautic Institute (INAC) implemented the measure against local airlines Conviasa, Aeropostal, Aerotuy, and Aserca Airlines following an inspection at Maiquetía international airport
VENEZUELA NEWS (EL UNIVERSAL) — The Venezuelan National Civil Aeronautic Institute (INAC) temporally suspended air ticket sale operations at the counters of several private and state-run local airlines at the Maiquetía-based Simón Bolívar international airport, northern Vargas state.
INAC inspected the operations of the airlines at the national terminal of the airport in order to improve the quality of service, state-run news agency AVN reported.
The airlines affected by the measure are Conviasa, Aeropostal, Aerotuy, and Aserca Airlines.
INAC said officials of the institute noted certain irregularities, namely delays in air operations, non-compliance with flight schedules, among others.
INAC added that inspections would continue at all the airports and airlines operating in Venezuela.
